In the dawn of the new year, I have a dream. It is of Monkeylords smashing through a wave of shielded tanks only to be flanked by gunships. It is of bombers scouting for artillery only to be called back to topple a heaving King Kryptor. It is of giant magnets, of flying boats, of floating tanks, of 8 players.
We want to do a big game (or a few big games, rather) of Supreme Commander 2. 8 real players kicking the cyborg shit out of each other. It’s going to be amazing. Anyone is welcome, we only ask that you have Sup Com 2 (the DLC would be a bonus but unessential). Let us know below if you fancy it and we’ll sort something out. It really will be something.

We tend to play Assassination so while a bit of commander harassing tends to work, going to war with it will normally just get you fucked.

Lager’s obviously got something up his sleeve, so he should be the first target. We might have a chance if we all attack him at once.
Last time we tried to play this there were some connection problems between people with and without the DLC, I’m hoping that’s sorted by now.
Me and Paul played with Craig Lam who didn’t have the DLC and that was all fine so seems to be all ok.

Craig hit me up on my email with details, earlier the better so i can be there (Weekends are difficult since i work – Saturday 12pm-9pm and Sunday 7:30am-4:30pm)

I wouldn’t worry about lack of experience. I signed up even though I, like you, have barely scraped the tutorial. This was after I played 2 games with the GD chaps. It’s all for good fun really, rather than super serious competition.

Amen to that brother! Hell i didn’t even get a proper game of SPC2 but the banter was some humerous shit. Plus the Battlefield Bad Company 2 after party was action packed. Best i have ever done i think. Maybe turn this into a regular event either weekly or bi-weekly. Pick a game and go bonkers in the name of GD.

The only issue on Friday was that we couldn’t play with 8 people because the game just crawled along. 7 was fine though.
Haha don’t worry Elliot that was because i had reached my bandwidth limit due to all the Steam games i downloaded from the sales. All the lag from the first try was to do with my 15KB/S speed. Fear not however has it is a new month and there is no Steam sale to be seen. My speed is back to maximum strength!
I think we’re still on for Friday. Craig Lam can’t make it, nor can Paul. Ed should be around though, and possibly Jaz. Even if we don’t have a full 8 we should still be able to do something fun though.
