Stripclub Siege

Multiplayer GTA can get a bit bland. It’s great, sure, but it doesn’t deliver on the one thing people actually want to do in GTA together – take on The Cops properly. Me and Ed have had to invent our own way to do it, and it’s simple. Named Stripclub Siege; a couple of load up with automatic weapons, pile into the nearest bar and lay waste to the patrons and in-house entertainment. Then it’s just a case of surviving for as long as possible. Sirens scream from outside the door as each person readies themselves for the coming onslaught. Guns levelled at the entrances, we wait.

It will be sporadic bursts of Street Cops to start with. They barely get a shot off before we gun them down. Then the shotguns turn up, often in number. Then SWAT. Going outside at this point is suicide but ammo is dwindling and half of the club is on fire from someone deciding indoor molotovs are a good idea. Regroup, reorganise, make a run for the exit. You have seconds to work a way around the dozen or so empty police cars, hold off the surrounding SWAT teams, and find a car that hasn’t exploded in the chaos. Then it’s a mad dash for supplies – armour, health, ammo – before heading back in; all the while helicopters licking at your heels and SWAT vans relentlessly hunting your team.

I don’t think more than two of us have ever made it back to the club.

Any of you re-invented multiplayer for yourselves?
