All right after canvassing opinion for a week and spending all night trying to make sense out of cyanide’s voodoo and witchcraft based league system, I think I’ve assembled a league for everyone to join.
We had seven people sign up, so I’ve created an eight man league, I think we can play it anyway, and one team will simply have to have a week off each round.
I’m going to leave it open till next Tuesday, this’ll hopefully mean we can nab a latecomer for the free slot, and it’ll also let everyone have a game or two in the public leagues in order to get ready for competition. You can enter teams ranging between 1000 and 1200, so while you can start straight out the box, I recommend getting a game or two under their collective belts. I know I’ll have to as my first friendly with Chimp resulted in so many injuries that I’m now below the value of a starting team, and thus can’t qualify for my own league without at least another match.
I’m hoping to get a minimum of one round of games done a week, if you can’t get your game done until a day or two later feel free to email me (it’s on the about page) and let me know, I don’t mind putting off advancing the clock for a short time. If, however, you’re going on a weeks holiday or something else that will render you unable to play over a longer period, again let me know, but in that case I’ll simply be advancing the clock without you, forfeiting your match. Obviously we all want to avoid that as much as possible, but neither are we going to let the league lag on forever.
Oh, one last thing, there’s a prize! I totally didn’t know this, because I’ve never come anywhere near the top of a league before, but the winner gets a meaty 80,000 gc to spend on his team, while the second place player gets 40,000 gc (so second is well worth fighting for even if you can’t win).
It’s called ‘Gaming Daily League’ (imaginative aren’t I?) and the password is ‘chaosspike’. Join when you’re ready, kick off is next Tuesday.
NB – You have to remove your team from the public league in order to apply.
