Yeah, not my idea.. www.playsaga.com seems good but you got it in one, get town or sumit, play and kill.. only just release (summer this year) It is free and i will be giving it a shot, i like different things like this... there was a total war type game out.. very old tho. you where a commander that started with a few bots, there where 2 teams, 1 planet divided into sectors. The aim was to build up an army and in true RTS style fashion, take the sectors. Red Alert tried to copy it with there world domination multiplay thing (i believe it was a Red Alert thing, number 2?)

It was quite good as the sectors kept changing hands and players could reinforce other players by joining the same sector. it was a very good game.. just lost out on graphics, it was free too but dont know what happended to it....

What I forgot to mention was that after each match, you are dropped back to the menu screen, so you have to go through the waiting all over again. Very fucking irritating.

Your MMOPRTS, I'm afraid, has been done. I can't for the life of me think what its called, but from what I remember you get a town and then build an empire or whatever in the world with armies and what not. It might even be free, but I think it is a totally overlooked idea.

The world needs a Online: Total War I think. It would go through 1 month cycles or something, so after each month it all gets reset (with bonuses for winners), so no one just dominates all the time. Obviously the idea would need loads of development, but I think it would be fun.

I hate MP games where you cant justjump into a match.. these wait for games are stupid.. they just go on with the same ppl in circle until the games over.. no new players can join mid game... just stupid and stale...

On another note i found a pretty decent game idea (yet to played and tested) an MMOPRTS - massive multiplayer online persistane Real Time Stratagey, for those that didnt know. Could be a real good thing...
